The beginning of June. Now the flowers are popping up nicely.

Had to capture a few of the flowers and yes a bird or two while sitting outside yesterday and today.

Bearded Iris.

The roses are starting to flower. Won't be long before they are all over the place.

  1. Your copper Iris are beautiful. And then I saw the roses, even more beautiful. Love those little quail, we don't have that variety but their body is colored similar to the Scaled aka Blues that we have along with the Bob Whites. I keep corn and maze in the "quail" feeder year round so we have them come right into the yard all the time.

  2. I have not seen nor have I heard of copper glads before - thought at frst they were a dried flower! Beautiful photos -fantastic subjects with nice and crisp, clear photos - real nice bokeh backgrounds and a really nice 3D look about them. The doves look a bit bedraggled!!

  3. Randall, your photos always just blow me away. Irises are in my top three favorite flowers. I could smell them all day, and I particularly like that color. Simply gorgeous. Your doves and quail...just WOW. I want the quail photo on my wall! Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful photos.

  4. Fantastic photos as always Randall !! I'd never seen those copper-coloured Iris before. You rose shots are stunning, particularly the first one, it's awesome. Those quail are so funny with their little 'head-tufts'. :-))

Can't wait to see your interpretation of 'Thrills and Chills' for the PT challenge :-))

  6. Sorry that is a copper Gladiolas, kind of looks like an Iris, but not the same. We have blue, purple, white and now copper ones around the yard.

  7. Seeing as I haven't gotten much for that one, I will be digging in the folders for shots to post. Unless something wild happens today.
