Nice mate!!!!! Looks like NZ to me - the ountain does not look it but is it volcanic??
So beautiful - great landscape - is that some sort of oxide or volcanic.
can se now that it is a volcano - nice shot!!
Really nice. I would love to fish this area.
Yes that is some of the volcano that shaped the North west. Very violent times back then. We still see a lot of what sits below our feet. Here is a great video a friend did, Kathleen Kiefer. and it shows what made this area the way it looks. I am shocked to see all the lava fields here that look like it happened last year, but really happened 50 million years ago. WOW! Then throw in Lake Missoula floods from only 17 million years ago. What an active area. If you look at google maps you can see how the lake washed away all of the top soil, but really going farther back. Like 50 million years ago, what is now a near desert in Oregon, was a near tropical environment, where crocodiles and palm trees flourished. Here is Kathy's site on facebook if you would tell her how you liked her work. https://www.facebook.com/?sk=nf#!/kathleen.kiefer.12
Rugged but so colorful.

I love this one, the dark peak is fascinating.
Forest looks like it's been thinned out. I guess it was the doing of the volcano?
Would love to jump in one and get rowing.
Is that a solidified lava flow?
